We've been having some major issues getting packages to my house in Cataguases. First, the address I gave a few people did not include the house number. After we fixed that problem, I have still not received 2 packages that I know were sent from people with the house number included. They have all been sent via the USPS rather than the much more expensive options, but unfortunately that means there is no tracking number involved. I have checked at the post office twice for unclaimed packages, but they seem convinced that the packages were sent back to the United States, which have not arrived there either. Needless to say, I'm quite frustrated about this. I'm hoping I have better luck with my new address in Vitoria, which I will be moving to around January 20th. The address is:
Rua Diógenes Nascimento das Neves, 164
Edf Aries, AP 404 A
Vitoria, ES 29057-670
This past weekend I had a wonderful trip, made some new friends, and had a much-appreciated experience in nature. Natália, the daughter of my mom's best Brazilian friend Sandra, called me about a week ago, introduced herself, and invited me to her home in Juiz De Fora, a large city (though not by Brazilian standards) about 2 hours away from Cataguases. Luckily, there was already a van of students from Cataguases heading to Juiz De Fora on Friday for an English exam, so I was able to catch a ride with them.
